With it being our first lesson and an introduction to the
module we spent a lot of time discussing our initial ideas. We got into groups
with similar subjects and swapped our ideas whilst picking up on new ones. I
found this helpful as they were people I hadn’t met before so gave me new ideas
from completely different perspectives. I have thought about my own business
prior to today so I have a quite a solid business idea which makes it easier as
I can get on with my work straight away without wasting too much time thinking
about it. I have experience in creating a business plan and thinking about all
the financial side and the marketing – however I haven’t really thought about
the values as a business and what’s important to me as a business. So far, I am
feeling quite confident about the task as I feel like my idea is well
researched into and I feel quite confident about it. I am hoping to take this
forward by before next week, researching into different competitors and doing
case studies on other similar companies. I am also hoping to interview some
similar businesses to see if their answers can advise me in the right direction
when starting up my own idea and business.
